Unfortunately the cement mixer has packed up but it has done well so off to pick up a new one.
With the wall and steps finished also some lighting installed we go back to the gardens. Just a bit more pointing for Gerry to do at a later date.

May - June Weather: Hot and sunny, a few wet days at the end of June but we did need this as the water butts are very low. First is to plant everything so in the top field and on with it. In the polytunnel we have strawberries and planting tomatoes, aborigines, chili's and cucumbers. So many of the days will be spent outside, but if like last year it will be well worth it. |

Tractor and digger now out of storage charged, cleaned and serviced. Gerry is moving on with the cleaning out and pointing the East wall of the office. I have been moving the large sections of stone for the outside steps and wall and have started work on it. This should take most of the next two months in between working on the gardens which will include....YES grass cutting. Also inside we have sorted, cleaned and packed the scaffolding. |

As the steps go in we have to place in land drains with gravel and
protect the rain water pipe with sand. Using some of the larger stones
we have sorted and cut to fit it will take sometime. But bit by bit we
will get there. Unfortunately the cement mixer has packed up but it has done well so off to pick up a new one. |

As we build the outside walls and steps we are also adding conduits for
lighting, also a water pipe and drainage so we can add a barbeque and

The fruit cage also needed weeding, the old veg plot is being turned slowly into an area which will have more fruit. Plenty of courgettes now coming also so many flowers on the Kiwi so hope fully this year we will have some fruit. |

Next two months we will work outside in the gardens, Gerry will be
cleaning out and pointing the rest of the office wall. We also need to
clean out the log sheds and start thinking about the wood for next
winter and beyond. Yes the same as last time but we will have to start
this now other wise we will not have enough to take us through the
winter. |
