March - April Weather:
Warm and sunny, a few wet days and cold nights but great for moving on

Gerry has made her way through the stone pile in the center but still from the outside it looks like we have not touched it. We must have used thousands of stone this winter yet the pile seems unaffected. With the last storms we lost two of our older apple trees and a few braches of another, also many branches from some oak's and chestnuts, so a bit of a clear up day, we will just cut them for now and move the wood as it dries. But the new trees on the right picture are doing well and have blossom coming, so nature is renewing itself. |

Gerry follows me pointing and painting as we go. Next platform and then the next platform with the help of Dainel and Simon, up we go, so we can work on the gable end and again Gerry follows be pointing and painting, just a few pictures but time wise a few weeks go by. The product we have used should have an 8 year life but with a good two coats and as it is under cover from the roof should gives us longer. But nice again to finish a section. |

As we move down taking the scaffolding down as we go Gerry again
pointing, we place Bob in his place. Why St Bob, well in remembrance of
Robert Gerry's brother and also I had to build a monk house for him. |

Well with the help of Daniel we put the balcony in place for the main bedroom and a few days later take down the rest of the scaffolding. Gerry again pointing the last of the main wall and cleaning out and pointing the office section on the right. Well we must now work on the gardens for the crops for this year. Gerry has planted many in the polytunnel, but the field must be ploughed, beds to be dug and of course grass to be cut. |

Next two months we will work outside in the gardens, Gerry will be
cleaning out and pointing the rest of the office wall. We also need to
clean out the log sheds and start thinking about the wood for next
winter and beyond. |
