June 2009

	June - This is the anniversary, yes 1 year has passed and we are well on schedule. 1st roof on and finished. Its so good to be dry, scaffolding to stay as we point the stone on the way down.
	Pointing, well this is fun, takes just as long to clean out the joints as to put it back. But it seems the building is now complete as we take down the scaffolding as we go.
	Vegetable / Fruit patch loads of fresh veg. Runner beans, French beans, cauliflowers, onions, beetroot, garlic and peas. JCB back fully serviced and repairs to warn parts, thanks to "French Excavators". So now the machines are ready for some major landscaping work.
	Main work on the next section the computer room or (soon to be Alex's room) with the new roof now under way. Thanks to the help of Ets Decrem Minez Lescreac'h, 56630, Langonnet, France.  www.decrem.fr John and his 3 sons will hopefully be helping us with all the roof construction which will also involve a special green oak roof for the kitchen dinning room, a Viking type hall.....
	Other views around this month. Walnuts, now we cleaned the trees of Ivy we should have a good crop this year. Grapes are coming on very well.
	Started on repair to the gable end of the kitchen dinning room. This will take sometime to stabilise the walls and start the rebuild over the summer.
