November - December Weather: Well winter is on its way, each night the temperature has been
dropping, nothing like the good weather we have had in the previous
years. Harvest time, so many walnuts and apples, this year not so many
pears and soft fruit. Just a chair to match the table, bench and more
chairs in the spring, wood found as we have been in the woods cutting the last
of the logs for this year. |

Leaves are changing, will have to wait a while until we clean the
gutters it will be soon, just need some wind.
Before its freezing I have started rotavating the main veg plots,
hopefully it will help the frost do its work, something my dad used
to tell me. Gerry has been moving all the plants that need a bit a
protection in the poly tunnel and the conservatory. Outside we
still have plenty of root vegetables and brassicas. |

As I work on the repair and servicing of all the equipment we use
outside, Gerry has been making jam's, preserves and some of the best
pickles and chutney you could ever taste, that will take us through the
winter. |

We had quite a few off cuts of wood left from the kitchen cupboards we
made, so looking at the boxes of wood which seemed to be destine for the
fire wood pile, so I put together some draws. Picked up the handles at a
local boot sale for 7 euros. Well now into December and the trees have
lost the leaves, the gutters need to be addressed, with the help from
the cats, takes us sometime to work our way round the place. |

Next two months outside when we can, plasterboard
if we can, so much more to do inside. More stuff to move round so we can
start on the ground floor. KEEP WARM! |
