March - Weather some rain, but
now spring is in the air and we have had some sunny warm days. This month has been full on with the kitchen dining room. Taking down the old fire place and then putting it back. With the help of the stone mason, Brian Evans and his helper Ludo... Manoir Renovations L'Esthuer, 22600 Saint Barnabé, Loudéac Tel: 02 96 26 70 21 / 06 78 26 63 96 www.manoirrenovations.com |

Next the old slopping floor in the Kitchen dining room needed to be broken up. Simon spent his day here and managed half of it. Brian, also managed to take the cab off Brian's mini digger which has been a great help. The floor was slooped on purpose so allowed the surface to be cleaned and drain into a fosse, for the cows. The drop over all was about half a metre. |

Then the surface had to blinded over with aggregate and then sand, with each stage being wacked in, also the pipe work had to be trenched in. |

Then the damp coarse membrane, 300 mu thick doubled up where the pipes
come through and sealed with tape. Look like a pool. |

Next a few lorry loads of concrete with reinforcing placed in, no pictures of all that as all bit busy putting it all in. Just a bit late to change your mind now... |

in the recycling . Gerry has now planted with meadow flowers also some
grass seed to bring it to the lawn edge, we will add some pictures when
it all comes up. The wall on the right in the bottom picture is made up for wild life. |
