Weather has changed again now snow and frost but on we go. Move that
door...... Working late and keeping this as warm and dry as we can.
With the help of the stone mason, Brian Evans and his helper Ludo...

Door down and rebuilt about a metre to the left, this had to be done to
place the roof support stone in and also needed to be squared up, old
date stone used above 1678.

Now the stone supports from the roof in the kitchen and the hallway,
each had to have the hole cut out of the new stone work and have to be
exactly in the right place, height and measurements have to be correct
to hold the new roof square. |

In Moreac the roof is now being constructed out of Oak, it is very
difficult to give an idea of scale, so next month we will be able to
take some pictures as it is brought on site and put up, if all goes
well.

Then it snowed....

Has it stopped work, NO inside the covered area's to remove the old
bread oven and plaster/rendering around the fire places in the hall and
dining room. Behind all that plaster and rendering we find some
beautiful stone to be cleaned up and pointed. |

Now the snow is cleared we have the last beam to remove and the rest of
the stone work to clean up, taking out the beam with 3 generations,
Simon, Josh and me..

Other pictures around with the animals and produce from the garden for
Christmas day, first time Hera the dog has seen snow.

On the left a cannon ball found in the stone from the main house, most
of the stone supports now in, looking forward to the roof next month, so
all targets still on track.

Also added the Green Pages as we have now signed the first contracts for an Air to Water under floor heating system for Dining room, Kitchen and Hallway. |
